Zirbel Smokes the Elk Grove Time Trial!

The Alexian Brothers Tour of Elk Grove is an annual bike race held in the Village. At its 6th year it is the number one ranked cycling tour in America. Athletes from around the world come to compete in the tour. There are 15 professional & amateur races with nearly $150,000 in total prize money, including the richest 3-day, 3-stage men's pro cycling purse in the world. BISSELL’s Tom Zirbel clocked the fastest time of 8:25 in the 4.5-mile (7.2-km) MTI Construction time trial, and got a nice check of $4,000 for his efforts. This new time bested his winning result last year by 11 seconds on the same out-and-back elongated T-shaped course.
