Items from the Anderson Lock Archives

A business card, key fobs in Swedish flag colors, an “Authorized Schlage Security Service Specialist” ID card, issued to Eugene Anderson, and the Golden Rule(r) remind us that, although we’ve added many more products and services, Anderson Lock is still a family-owned security company.

Today’s business and ID cards look much different from the ones pictured here, but the key fobs are quite similar, even our street, Oakton, and city, Des Plaines, are the same. However, we outgrew the 1801 location, and moved to 850 East Oakton.

The Golden Rule is the principle of treating others as one would wish to be treated.  It is a unilateral moral commitment to the well-being of the other without the expectation of anything in return. The concept occurs in some form in nearly every religion and ethical tradition, according to sources quoted in Wikipedia.

I think Anderson Lock should order these gold rulers again to remind everyone of The Golden Rule.
