Anderson Lock’s Lauren Zannini, our Door Division Project Assistant, is a long time member of NAWIC [National Association of Women in Construction]. As president of her local chapter, Lauren led a food drive for a local food pantry that collected $3,000 in donations in three hours.

She was quoted in the organization’s magazine, The NAWIC Image, regarding her most memorable NAWIC moment:  “During WIC Week, the O’Hare Suburban Chapter collected food items at the Palatine Walmart. We handed out a flier asking Walmart customers to buy one or more items listed while shopping, to donate to a local food pantry. Many of the customers came out with bags of items. When we finished our collection, we literally filled an SUV to the roof. The only room left was for the driver! The food pantry was overwhelmed. Walmart should be commended for its cooperation, although it was a win/win situation for all of us. I have had many memorable moments in NAWIC, but this one really is one of the best!”
