Glenbrook North High School is a top-rated public school serving 2,000+ students from Northbrook and Glenview. High School District 225 also includes Glenbrook South High School which has 3,000 students enrolled.
Throughout the years, Glenbrook North High School has received state and national recognition for academic excellence. The school also takes pride in its notable alumni, its performing arts center, its athletics wing which houses multiple pools, several gyms (including a climbing and gymnastics gym), a fieldhouse, and fitness center. Multiple sports fields, outdoor tracks and tennis courts, complete the campus. John Hughes, perhaps the most well-known Glenbrook North alumnus, used GBN in his films. Some interior scenes of The Breakfast Club were filmed inside; and exterior shots of the school were used in both The Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
Since 2017, Anderson Lock has provided best-in-class security to District 225 schools, as well as to their administration and Off-Campus buildings. We’ve installed 1,200+ Schlage AD400 wireless security locksets which provide lockdown capability. Our access control team specified, installed, integrated, programmed and continues to update the district’s security systems.
“It’s a true partnership,” Jeff Asta, our access control estimator, says. “They understand the complexity of these security systems. One issue came up last summer. The company that manufactured the PIMs (panel interface module) the district used, stopped assembling, so Anderson Lock assembled custom modules, assuring a seamless installation of new locksets.” Next, Jeff worked with the school’s public address / intercom / phone system vendor to tie their security fob / lockdown system to trigger a pre-recorded warning via the PA system and simultaneously alert local police to a lockdown being initiated. Ryan Manly, District 225’s Technology Services Manager, complimented Jeff, saying his “…responsiveness is truly remarkable; he’s always quick to answer emails or hop on a call, ensuring that no question goes unanswered and no issue is unresolved.”
