It has been a busy summer at Anderson Lock. We’ve welcomed new employees and customers, added trucks to our fleet, expanded our electronic security expertise and opened our third Chicagoland location.
A lot of that growth came with the addition of Ashland Lock & Security Solutions.
Like Anderson Lock, Ashland has been serving Chicago-area customers for decades. And while our companies have plenty in common, each also brings different strengths and experience to the table.
Several longtime Ashland employees have joined the Anderson Lock team, bringing extensive experience in access control, CCTV, intercom systems, custom servers and the multi-family market.
For our customers, that means even more technical knowledge and resources to draw from… especially as doors, access control, video and other electronic security systems become increasingly connected.

We’re learning from each other, and ultimately that makes us a stronger resource for our customers.
Three Anderson Lock Locations.
There’s another noticeable addition: Anderson Lock is now in Chicago.
Ashland’s longtime location at 2510 N. Ashland Avenue remains open and is now an Anderson Lock storefront and service hub.
That gives us three locations—our Des Plaines headquarters, the Anderson Lock Commercial Door Division in Elk Grove Village and now our Chicago location on Ashland Avenue.
Of course, bringing together two companies that have each been doing things their own way for decades takes a little work.
There have been systems to connect, inventory to count, trucks to move and more than a few conversations that start with “How did Ashland do this?” or “How does Anderson do that?”
We’re figuring it out together.
And in the process, we’re taking the best of both companies and building an even stronger team.
Anderson Lock now has more than 120 employees across three Chicagoland locations, with greater depth in mechanical and electronic security, access control, video surveillance, commercial doors, frames and hardware.
A lot has changed since Gene Anderson started Anderson Lock in 1960. What hasn’t changed is the way we grow… by adding good people, taking care of our customers and continuing to expand what we can do for them.
This is one more chapter in that story. And we’re excited to see where it takes us next.
