Two long-standing, family-owned Chicago companies are now working under one roof. Well, three roofs, actually.
There has been a lot going on at Anderson Lock this summer. New employees. New customers. More trucks. More expertise. And a third Anderson Lock location.
Ashland Lock & Security Solutions has joined the Anderson Lock family.
Like Anderson Lock, Ashland has been serving Chicago-area customers for decades. Bringing the teams together adds experienced people and expands our expertise in access control, CCTV, intercom systems, custom servers and the multi-family market.
For Anderson Lock customers, that means more technical resources and more people to call on for increasingly complex security needs. It also gives us a stronger presence in Chicago. Ashland’s longtime location at 2510 N. Ashland Avenue remains open and is now an Anderson Lock storefront and service hub, joining our Des Plaines headquarters and Commercial Door Division in Elk Grove Village.

We’re learning from each other, and ultimately that makes us a stronger resource for our customers.”
Of course, bringing two established businesses together takes some work. There have been systems to connect, inventory to count, trucks to move and plenty of “How did Ashland do this?” and “How does Anderson do that?”
We’re figuring it out together.
Anderson Lock now has more than 120 employees and three Chicagoland locations, with even greater depth across mechanical and electronic security, doors, frames and hardware.
A lot has changed since Gene Anderson started the company in 1960. This is one more chapter in that story, and we’re excited to see where it takes us next.
